Whether you love it or hate it, there's no denying it leaves a romantic feeling in the air with all the chocolates and presents in shop windows. Here's our round up of the most loved-up destinations across the globe to while away the days with your other half...
The Seychelles
This beautiful group of islands off the coast of East Africa is the perfect beach destination to relax and take some time to yourselves. With year-round warm temperatures and glorious sunshine, it's ideal any time of the year to jet off to the Seychelles. It's also great if you fancy a bit of adventure together as you can enjoy amazing snorkelling on the corals reefs or head off to lose yourselves in the dense jungle landscape.
Venice, Italy
Of course we had to include Venice on our list, because what could be more quintessentially romantic than a trip around the canals in a Venetian gondola! Exploring the twisting and turning little streets of Venice is the perfect city break to get away with your loved one and do a bit of sightseeing together.
Santorini, Greece
If you fancy a beach break a little closer to home then Santorini is the one for you. This traditional Greek island with its whitewashed buildings and volcanic landscape is a lovers' paradise. Days can be spent relaxing by your hotel pool catching a few rays, and then in the evening it's time for moonlit strolls up and down the cobbled hills and cosy dinners for two. It's hard not to feel romantic in a place as beautiful as this little island.
Paris, France
This list wouldn't be complete without what is often called the 'city of love'; the one and only Paris. Take a stroll down the Seine, indulge in a coffee and a croissant in one of the many little cafes, or take a trip up the Eiffel Tower to view the city from above, this wonderful city has more than enough to enjoy on a romantic weekend away.
St Lucia
A classic honeymoon destination of choice, St Lucia is ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all and relax in paradise. With a wide range of luxury resorts featuring private pools and incredible views, there's more than enough choice here for where to stay in sumptuous surroundings. Not only does this Caribbean utopia have luxury resorts, sdditionally, you can explore the iconic Pitons, wander through lush rainforests, relax on beautiful beaches, and enjoy some summer reads.
