2. Cut-outs
They've been around for a while, but the
trend for cut-out beach wear is holding strong. Even those of us who are a little scared of flaunting the flesh in our least favourite areas are catered for - there's now a cut-out design to suit every body shape. Cross-front one-piece tops are a smart variation on this trend, with the X creating a cut out in the middle ribs and just under the bra strap - a very flattering shape on apple- and pear-shaped body types.
3. Prints
The beach is a great chance to embrace the trend for bold prints. Aztec, patchwork, floral, animal print or full on tropical - you can go as crazy as you like and still be in style. If you want to really take it to the next level, buy a few sets and mix them up!
4. Jazzy jewellery

This season, we're finally over the trend for oversized sunglasses that dominated the last decade. We've now gone back to the 90s which was the last time these round Lennon-like specs were en vogue. Even keeping within this trend, the choice is yours whether the stick with round black frames or a funky purple, green or electric blue statement.
