With Valentines Day just around the corner, it really is time to start thinking how you would like to spend this special time of year. Nowadays, we are bombarded with options to choose from, making this decision quite challenging. To try and help, I am going to list my top 5 valentines experience days.
In my opinion, the traditional day, is one of my favourites. There is always something romantic about checking into a nice hotel on a cold winters day in February, even if it is not far from home, it makes the night extra special. Take your loved one out for a luxurious dinner, somewhere that you would not normally go to, and somewhere that you can dress up a bit. The element of getting ready to go out, and putting in more effort than your average Saturday night automatically brings some spice to the night.
For the adventurous amongst you, spend the day together test driving fast cars. There are many locations that offer driving days, where you and your partner can test drive a Ferrari or other sports cars and race each other. This is such a fun day out that really will get your adrenaline pumping. Then you can go out and celebrate in the evening. Champagne for the winner anyone?
Wine tasting or a brewery tour can also be popular choices. These days usually offer a tour of the site, with some small tastings of what’s on offer. You can then often opt for a three-course meal after, where you can choose to complement the food with your drink of choice from the tastings.
A weekend spa break is another fabulous choice for the romantics amongst you. This always seems like something special as, unless you are very lucky, it is not often that the two of you are pampered from head to toe. As lots of spas are normally in hotel resorts, you can often be really lucky and find amazing deals that include an overnight stay in a hotel as well as use of the spa facilities.
My final choice would be tickets to a west end show followed by dinner in the hustle and bustle of the city. Get dressed up, have a glass of bubbly in the interval and enjoy the show!
My top 5 valentines experience days are quite varied so I´m sure that there is something to suit most couples. The most important thing however, is to choose something that you both enjoy and will remember as a special day together.
