Every year trends come and go, and last year was no different. A huge range of swimwear and beachwear fashions grew in popularity, but which ones were the most significant? Which ones were seen across the globe, everywhere on Instagram, and on all your favourite celebrities? Here's our run down of the hottest trends we spotted in 2015...
Body Chains

Wearing jewellery with your swimwear was a huge trend last year, and in particular, body chains. The perfect accessory to add a little extra something to your beach look. One of our favourite brands, Seafolly, even featured body chains in their campaign images with model of the moment, Gigi Hadid. And that's when you know it's a trend to get on board with!
Giant Pool Floats

Something we have spotted all over our Instagram feed this year is the humble pool float, but with a whole new look! From swans, to flamingos, and donuts to pizza slices, pool floats have been anything but boring! Spotted with everyone from Taylor Swift to our favourite bloggers, this trend looks like it's here to stay.
High Neck Swimwear
One of our favourite trends of 2015 was high neck swimwear. Featured by many of our top brands such as Seafolly, Jets, and ViX, this sporty swimsuit style gives you a hint of surfer-girl cool, whether you're keen to head out on the waves or you prefer to just relax on the beach. It's also great to flatter any bust size, so no matter your body shape, this trend is one for everyone.
Temporary Tattoos

Although they've been around for a while now, the temporary tattoo revival came back in full force last year. Taking inspiration from jewellery, these little sparkling accessories have been seen all over Pinterest and Instagram, all over people's bodies. They're a great way to add a bohemian edge to your beach style. So if you haven't already tried a temporary tattoo or two, grab yourself a pack before this trend is over!
Scuba Swimwear
With so many brands focusing on scuba or neoprene style swimwear, this is one trend we definitely think will be continuing in 2016. Swimsuits and bikinis made from these materials are much stiffer than ordinary swimwear and are ideal for smoothing your silhouette and giving your bust a little extra boost.
Have you loved any of these trends of 2014 or this year? What do you think will be a huge trend in 2016?
